Birthdays can be a scary time.
In case you haven’t heard, I turn 37 today.
It’s been great so far.
Got a really nice birthday card and Subway gift card from my wife, Becky. I’m also enjoying reading the nice messages on Facebook.
I’m looking forward to this year.
Becky and I are considering and praying about some exciting ideas for the upcoming year.
But with excitement comes fear and nerves.
I can worry a lot. I worry about my life, health, family, finances and work.
How can you contend with that?
I was fascinated to see Blackberry’s new commercial series for 2011 called “Be Bold” for the new Blackberry Bold 9900.
You can see one of the commercials below.
I’m not a big fan of the Blackberry phone, but I like the idea of being bold.
But my inspiration for being bold in 2012 doesn’t come from a smart phone, it comes from Joshua 1:9.
“This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
The verse is a great encouragement to me, especially during days when I worry.
