Malone to hold benefit recital

The Malone University College of Theology, Arts, and Sciences – Department of Music will present a benefit recital – From Our Hearts to Yours – May 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Stewart Room of the Randall Campus Center.

There is no admission fee, but a free-will offering will be taken at the end of the program. Proceeds will benefit local young artists preparing to study classical music performance and the Italian language in Siena, Italy, through the Sessione Senese per Musica at L’Arte summer festival.

The recital will be all sacred music comprised of solo and choral pieces. Composers include: Bach, Mendelssohn, Gounod, Mozart, Caccini, Schubert, Fauré, and Verdi.

STANDING TALL – Columbus-area pastor Cory P. Pariseau and Jim Mullet have combined forces on “Standing at the Crossroads – A Mentors Inspiration,” which deals with foster care, adoption, child abuse, mentoring, child protective services and the church.

GRAD MEETINGS PLANNED – Malone University will present information meetings for each of its six graduate programs on June 21, at 6 pm in the Fred F. Silk Auditorium of Mitchell Hall on the campus located at 2600 Cleveland Avenue N.W. in Canton.

Light refreshments and registration begin at 5:45 p.m.

Prospective students may visit with the program directors and graduate admissions personnel regarding pursuing a master’s degree in education, counselor education, theological studies, business administration, nursing, and the master of arts in organizational leadership which can be completed in 16 months.
