Ashland University opens restaurant
Ashland University is now operating the “Top of the 10th Restaurant” at the Country Club of Ashland. The restaurant opened March 1 and Matt Portner, director of auxiliary services, said he is “pleased with the crowds so far.”
“We offer a modern atmosphere with a fresh menu,” Portner said. “Located on the beautiful grounds of the Country Club of Ashland, the Top of the 10th offers great food with a friendly dining experience.”
Portner said the lounge and dining room can accommodate more than 75 people, while a more private intimate dining room can seat more than 30 additional guests.
“We provide a full-service bar, flat screen TVs and wi-fi internet. No reservations are required and both the restaurant and banquet facilities are open to the public,” Portner said.
The menu ranges from pan seared mini crab cakes to New York strip steak, chop salads to the big beef burger, all prepared by Ashland University’s award-winning chef.

SCIENCE MEETING PLANNED – The 121st annual meeting of the Ohio Academy of Science will be held on the Ashland University campus on April 13 and 14. The Ohio Academy of Science’s Annual Meeting is for academic, governmental, and industry scientists and engineers, university and precollege educators and teachers, and pre-college, undergraduate, and graduate students, and interested lay citizens in the Ohio region.
