Give Coach Cal credit, Kentucky deserved the title
Congratulations to Kentucky for the team’s convincing win over Kansas in the NCAA title game.
Coach John Calipari catches a lot of flack about his recruiting practices, but it was nice to see him win with a team filled with unselfish players, most notably freshmen sensation Anthony Davis and ready-made NBA swingman Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.
For those who missed it, here is “One Shining Moment,” which is the tournament’s wrap-up video from CBS.
CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE – Being a sideline reporter is never easy.
Check out NBC reporter Pierre McGuire, who was caught in the middle of a screaming match between Philadelphia Flyers coach Peter Laviolette and Pittsburgh Penguins coach Dan Bylsma during a brawl between the teams late in the game.
The brawl should set up an interesting potential first-round playoff series between the teams.
