Job of the week: Associate Director of Annual Giving at Nationwide Children’s Hospital
GENERAL SUMMARY – An Annual Giving staff member who assists in the planning, development and implementation of campaigns and events hosted by individuals and community groups that benefit Nationwide Children’s Hospital. This includes integrating fundraising and marketing initiatives with both organizations’ strategic plans. Serves as the Hospital’s central point of contact for the Children’s Champions community members. Works in tandem with the entire Foundation team and the Hospital Marketing department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree in Business or a related field preferred. Five years of successful gift solicitation (all levels) experience. Management and marketing experience is preferred.
Must be proficient with data queries and reporting and must able to provide detailed analysis of assigned campaigns/events. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be comfortable with people of all ages and backgrounds. Must be equally comfortable with public speaking and one-on-one communication.
Proficiency with Raiser’s Edge and Microsoft Office is essential. Knowledge of social media strategies is preferred. Demonstrated personal initiative, devotion to hospital mission and personal ongoing education. Ability to self-initiate and work independently.
Ability to maintain professional composure in stressful situations. Ability to be entrusted with personal and confidential information and make ethical decisions. Maturity, knowledge, integrity and “team” player attitude are essential. MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Frequently interacts with people during the course of the day, including talking on the phone or face-to-face, walking to their offices, or using the computer to interact; frequently composes documents and e-mail on the computer and occasionally lifts objects weighing 40 pounds or less.
