Cedarville excited about dual enrollment program
Exceptional juniors and rising high school seniors have the opportunity to jump start their college career through Cedarville University’s dual enrollment program which is offered both on campus and online.
Requirements for acceptance into the program include a minimum GPA of 3.5, rigorous high school curriculum, top 25 percentile for standardized tests and a recommendation from a church leader. Students can take up to 6.5 credit hours. The list of courses offered f can be found at www.cedarville.edu/dualenrollment.
MALONE AIR BAND COMPETITION SET – Malone University’s 19th Annual Air Band & Lip Synch Competition is scheduled for 8:19 p.m. March 23 in the Johnson Center for Worship and the Fine Arts, located at 2600 Cleveland Avenue N.W. in Canton. The event is free and open to the public. A limited number of VIP Tickets (150) are available for sale at $5 each, and Air Band tee-shirts are available for $10 each. All proceeds will benefit The Martin Center in Southeast Canton.
Student teams compete with elaborate costumes, breath taking choreography, and spot on lip synching skills to compete for the coveted Golden Tennis Shoe Award.
CHOIR CONCERT SCHEDULED – The Malone University Women’s Concert Choir will perform its spring program, “Gathered in the Love of Christ, Sunday, March 25, at 3 p.m. in the Stewart Room of the Randall Campus Center. The program – under the direction of Rachel Nunez – is free and open to the public. A program follows.
The Women’s Concert Choir is one of the three choral ensembles at Malone University. Established in 1989, the choir, selected each fall by audition, is comprised of 20 women representing a variety of majors. They perform on and off-campus for worship services and community events, as well as Christmas at Malone. Conducted by Rachel Núñez since 2001, the Women’s Concert Choir takes an annual spring tour. Spring 2010 took the choir to Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Past tours include Washington D.C.; Chicago; Philadelphia, PA; Niagara Falls, N.Y. and Canada.
MALONE CENTER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS – The Weaver Child Development Center at Malone University is now accepting open registrations for fall enrollment. The registration fee is $75/ per child, due at the time of registration. Programs are available for children 18 months through third grade. There are limited spaces available.
