Cedarville chapel to focus on sexual abuse, rape and trafficking

Author and speaker Nicole Bromley believes that “one of the best ways to navigate life is to take what is ugly, dirty and broken and turn it into something beautiful.”

At the age of 5 Bromley was sexually abused by her stepfather. It wasn’t until the age of 13 that she spoke up and told her mother about the abuse. After sharing her story with others when she was 15, she realized that her voice could give others the power to make the first step towards healing.

Bromley is the founder and CEO of OneVOICE Enterprises, an organization that raises awareness of sexual abuse, rape and trafficking by providing schools and other organizations with speakers who share their real life stories. She is also the author of “Breathe: Finding Freedom to Thrive in Relationships after Childhood Sexual Abuse.”

Bromley is also a member of RAINN (Rape, Abuse, Incest National network) Speakers Bureau and a Board Member for Gracehaven, a non-profit that aids girls who were victims of sexual exploitation and trafficking. She currently resides in Columbus, Ohio with her husband Matthew and their two sons.

Bromley will speak in Cedarville University’s chapel on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 10 a.m. The service will be held in the Jeremiah Chapel of the Dixon Ministry Center.

There will also be a question and answer session with Bromley at 2 p.m. in Apple 107.

To order a CD, DVD, or MP3 download of a chapel message, visit the Cedarville University Media Store.
