Hines Ward not ready to retire yet
The Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver brushed off a report of his impending retirement Monday afternoon on his Facebook page.
“I’m getting lots of questions about retirement so let me set the record straight: I have no plans on retiring right now,” Ward said. “I want to win another Super Bowl. I don’t know where the media is getting this info from but rest assured that when I decide to retire, you’ll hear it from ME first.”
Ward has 1,000 catches over his career, but his playing time has been limited due to the emergence of Mike Wallace, Antonio Brown, Emmanuel Sanders and Jerricho Cotchery.
