Pop Culture notes: Cedarville to host Worship 4:24 Conference
– Cedarville University’s Department of Music and Worship is partnering with The State Convention of Baptists in Ohio to host the third annual Worship 4:24 Conference Jan. 27-28. The title of the conference is based on John 4:24, one of the few passages in the Bible where Jesus speaks directly about worship. You can register online here or call 1-877-CEDARVILLE. When registering before Dec. 21, students’ registration fee will be $20 and non-student registrants will be charged $30. Students who pay after Dec. 21 will be charged $30 and all other registrants will be charged $49.95. Deadline for registration is Jan. 18.
– The Cedarville University is inviting the public to attend Bach’s Lunch, a series of free noontime concerts featuring a wide variety of musical selections performed by various musicians. Attendees are invited to bring a boxed lunch (with bottled water to drink) and enjoy it during the recital. On Feb. 4, Bach’s Lunch presents the Cedarville University Faculty Trio in the Recital Hall of the Bolthouse Center for Music. The trio includes pianist Charles Clevenger, D.M.A., professor of music; Charles Pagnard, M.M., professor of music on the trumpet; and violinist Jun Kim, M.M., assistant professor of music. This concert is a special encore of the Trio’s faculty recital on Feb. 3.
