SNL alum Dean Edwards to appear at Ashland

Tickets are still available for the actor and comedian Dean Edwards who will be the Ashland University Homecoming comedian Friday, Oct. 14, at 8 p.m. in Redwood Hall. This event is sponsored by Ashland University’s CAB and Tech Crew.
Tickets for the comedy event are $15 for general admission, $10 for Ashland University faculty and staff, and $2 for Ashland University students with ID and are available at the Ashland University Box Office at 419.289.5125.
Edwards has been making his mark in comedy following two successful seasons as a cast member on “Saturday Night Live.” With such memorable impressions as Don Cheadle, Michael Jackson and Denzel Washington, as well as such original characters as “Man in Elevator” and “Cop#2,” Edwards has pushed himself to the limits of creativity and exhaustion.

Always the multi-tasker, he has found the momentum to juggle his SNL career, his numerous standup appearances and multiple television appearances. Edwards most recently appeared in Showtime’s “Comics Without Borders,” the nine-week comedy series which showcased multi-cultural stand-up comedians. He also helped workshop and create the character of Donkey for nearly two years, leading up to Dreamworks’ “Shrek The Musical” on Broadway.
