Think about your customers with your marketing strategy

Want to succeed in marketing?

Talk about what your customers get from your service.

I had a great conversation the other day with a marketing director who told me how he transferred his organization’s communications strategy from explaining what they do to how others can directly benefit from their services.

It’s a great strategy.

When I was younger, I always was amazed by the McDonalds “Billions and Billions Served” sign.

The reality of it doesn’t mean much for the customer.

Other than the “if billions buy it, maybe I should as well” reasoning, there’s not much else for the buyer to make a decision.

Today, you need to show customers why they should purchase your product or how your organization benefits them.

If you can’t do that, they have no reason to choose you to do business.
