Chevy Volt to be part of Earth Day Celebration at The University of Findlay

The University of Findlay will host an Earth Day Eve celebration from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 21, on the Cory Street Mall on campus, featuring the Chevy Volt.

The Volt, the 2011 Motor Trend Car of the Year, is Chevrolet’s new electric vehicle, which also can use gasoline. According to the company’s website, the Volt may allow its owner to “commute gas-free on electric for an average of $1.50 a day.”

“Two of Us” will perform live music at the event, which is sponsored by UF’s Wilderness Club, the Findlay Green Campus Initiative, Sodexo, George House and General Motors.

Snacks will be provided, and participants may tie-dye T-shirts.
