Westerville plans shredding day

As part of a larger effort to help Westerville “go green,” the Westerville Parks & Recreation Department is partnering with Fireproof Record Center to offer residents an opportunity to safely and securely dispose of sensitive household documents. The Fireproof mobile shredding truck will be on-site to dispose of your personal documents. Individual households may shred up to five boxes for free.

ASHLAND TO HOLD RECYCLING DAY - Ashland University’s Recycling Department will hold an Electronic Recycling Fundraiser on April 28 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. The fundraiser will be held beside Fraternity Circle off Broad Street on the AU campus.
The Recycling Department will be collecting old, outdated electronics and equipment. They will accept computer and office equipment such as laptops, hard drives, monitors and printers; also household equipment like toasters, microwaves, coffee makers, and alarms. Security and communication equipment as in cameras and cell phones; and personal electronics such as radios, stereo equipment, and iPods will be accepted.
Medical equipment as in lab equipment and nursing station electronics and finally industrial equipment like motors, switches, and transmitters also will all be accepted at the fundraiser. Televisions and large appliances are two of the only items that the fundraiser will not accept.
BYE, BYE BIRDIE – Columbus Academy Student Theatre will present “Bye Bye Birdie” at 7:30 p.m. on April 27-28. The musical comedy set in 1958 will star (left to right in picture) seniors Will Westwater, Faith Christiansen and Alex Farrenkopf and junior Emily Carlin in leading roles. Tickets are $7 and can be reserved in advance by clicking here or purchased at the door of the Schoedinger Theatre lobby on the night of the performances.
